As much as you claim to know about investing, there’s always more room for knowledge. With all the changing times, the markets moving, there are so many theories that go out and not work anymore, but if there’s one book on investment that will always work, it’s ‘One Up on Wall Street’ by Peter Lynch..
Peter Lynch is an American businessman and a stock investor. He was the fund manager of Magellan Fund between 1977 and 1990. This man at one time had over 1400 stocks on his portfolio, while that’s the kind of portfolio I personally can never imagine managing.
Talking about the book, this book is like the first book you should read. The most important lesson from this book is to keep your eyes and ears open. You don’t have to be a rocket scientist to find out good stocks, you just have to be aware of your surroundings and what’s working and what not. The way Peter Lynch picks up stock is so simple and amazing. The target example clearly opens your mind on you can pick up amazing investments just by being aware.
I have read other few books on investments as well, but by far, this one is the book which was the most interesting read and so simple to follow.
This book is suggested by really successful investors to be read every 6 months by every serious investor who wants to make it big in the market!
